Minutes of the 3 October 2006 Committee Meeting
Present: Corinne Attwood; Roz Charters, Tony Davenport; Peter Freeman; Adam Jones (Chair); Aidan Lunn; John Riddington; Philippa Sankey (Minutes); Ann Smith; Graham Towers; Nick von Tunzelmann. 1. Draft Minutes of meeting 5 September 2006 Factual correction made to para 6 and Minutes then agreed as a correct record. 2. Matters arising Invitation to Fishersgate, purchasers of the car park site to address residents before the end of the year carried forward(PS/PF). 3. Matters arising from 19 September Community meeting i360 meeting was thought very successful, although turnout could be higher. Need to look at publicity; proposal goes to Planning Committee in 8 days. Look at options to improve projecting facilities at St Mary Magdalen’s (including purchase of screen) (TD). 4. Autumn Community Meetings 17 October Secondary Schools admissions: Gil Sweetenham, WG Chair, agreed to speak. Concerned parents publicising event at local primary schools. 5. Revisions to Constitution and AGM timetable The proposed clarifying revisions as previously circulated were agreed with some further amendments as shown on attached version (to follow) and after clarification sought from Community Matters on one point. The revised constitution to be circulated to SRs and residents by email, advertised in the December newsletter and displayed on the website for consideration at the January Community meeting. AGM timetable: it was agreed that notice of the AGM would be given in the December newsletter, and a late February deadline would be given for nominations for officers and management committee. Nominations received to be included in the March newsletter to ensure names circulated 14 days in advance of AGM; March newsletter to include financial statement and Management Committee report for 2006, in preparation for AGM. 6. Treasurer’s update None given. 7. Communications Newsletter: CMPCAnews 6, with a focus on planning, under way. 8. Parking As agreed at 17 September community meeting, other local community associations to be approached to make joint approach to council officials to salvage the best of the proposals. 9. RAH It was also agreed that we should request an early meeting with the planning department to discuss the implementation of planning guidance once successful bid for main site known. 10. AOB There was reference to the need to decide topics and speakers (from the agreed list) at the next meeting for the first three meetings of next year for inclusion in the next newsletter. |
